Commissions make up large part of my work and bring me much joy. I have learned much about the healing power of art. That knowledge is key to making a very personal and unique painting for you.
I begin with discovering what will restore your soul, what you love and what you find beautiful. I am interested in what your favourite colour is, which gem stones, flowers, birds you like. I also want to know what is important for you in life and what you really value. With that knowledge I begin painting, and so the creative process begins.
I invite your essence to flow onto the canvas, and to fuel my imagination. The result is a very personal and unique painting that will nourish your spirit and be a beautiful source of comfort every time you look at it.
I am inspired by the myriad of life forms around me. I connect with the beauty and abundance of life through nature and express that in my paintings. In turn, my paintings enable me to share this connection with others, so their souls may feel uplifted.
My studio home is nestled in a magical little valley in the city of Wellington. It is surrounded by native bush and New Zealand birds. Kereru, Tui, Piwakawaka and Kaka inhabit this valley and I delight in their presence every day.
Nature is the starting point and foundation for each painting. I enjoy participating in the process of creation through my imagination. In this way surreal life forms can take shape on the canvas and invisible nature spirits make an appearance. Through painting I honour the sacredness in all things.
I want my paintings to infuse a beautiful vibrant atmosphere of abundance into a room. I want them to emanate vitality and joy and uplift people. May my work uplift and nourish your soul.
